Brittany Berzin

Ms. Berzin graduated from University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and received a Juris Doctorate with great distinction. Ms. Berzin was inducted into the Order of the Coif for graduating in the top 10% of her graduating class. In 2013, Ms. Berzin graduated from the University of California Davis where she received a B.A. in Psychology.

Throughout her time at McGeorge, Ms. Berzin was on the Dean's Honor List and was also the recipient of various scholarships, including the Judge Loren Dahl Memorial Award and Pacific Presidential Scholarship for students who are ranked in the top 5% of their class at the end of their first year of law school. Ms. Berzin received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Research and Writing, Civil Procedure, Bankruptcy, and Criminal Procedure. In addition, Ms. Berzin actively participated in the Employment and Labor Law Student Association at McGeorge, having served as Secretary and then as President. Ms. Berzin was also a member of the nationally recognized McGeorge Mock Trial Team.

Legal Experience

Ms. Berzin's practice focuses on wage and hour class actions, Private Attorneys General Act claims, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. Her wage and hour practice includes issues such as failure to pay overtime, failure to pay minimum wages, failure to provide meal and rest periods, failure to pay reimbursement expenses, unlawful deductions, failure to keep accurate time records, failure to provide accurate wage statements, failure to provide paid sick leave, failure to pay all wages upon separation, unfair competition, breach of contract, independent contractor misclassification, and salaried misclassification. Ms. Berzin’s advocacy experience includes conducting several hearings in State and Federal courts, a bench trial, and a jury trial.
